You will have full use of the facility for 15 hours on the day of your wedding or event (from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m). All events must end at 12 a.m. This means that all guests must exit the Venue and be off the premises by 12 a.m., and therefore the DJ/band will stop playing music and the bar will close at 11:30 p.m.
Early access to the Venue must be requested at least 45 days prior to the Rental Date at a rate of $200 per hour.
Our Venue can hold weddings for over 500 capacity by using the Chapel as designated seating area for the reception. If you have an invite list over 350, please contact us to discuss details and we can advise you of options.
Canyonwood Ridge was designed for events of 300 guests or less. Specifically, our Reception Hall can comfortably seat 300 guests, plus allow room for a band, dance floor, a niche area for buffet, cutting station, and cake table. This also provides the 3,000 sqft Chapel space to be designated as a "pre-set Plan B" whereby the ceremony can be held in the Chapel for up to 300 capacity, or if the ceremony is held outdoors, the Chapel can be utilized as "flex space" for cocktail hour, photo booths, buffet, lounge area, poker tables, etc... whatever you desire.
We are located at 250 South Canyonwood Drive, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin. We are easy to locate with an entrance just off of Highway 290, about 2 miles west of the Trudy's on Highway 290 and about 5 miles east of Dripping Springs.

Rent Like a Champion
Yes! We provide enough chairs and tables for 300 guests, including separate chairs for the ceremony and reception. We have 300 Chiavari Chairs for the Ceremony and an additional 300 Chiavari Chairs for the Reception. We also provide 40 60inch rounds, 20 8 foot rectangular tables, 10 cocktail tables, and a cake table (these are polyethylene tables and we can provide referrals for linen rentals).
We provide the "break-down" of chairs and tables along with clean-up at the end of the event. If you utilize one of our preferred caterers, they will provide set up of the chairs at NO CHARGE as well as they can provide linen rentals.
All tables and chairs will be set out and available at 9 a.m. the day of your event (or earlier if you contract for early entrance) so that your caterer (or other vendor) can do the set up. We've found that the setup of tables and chairs is best sourced by other vendors who are managing the "design" of your wedding/event and will be onsite for decorating and design (e.g. caterer, wedding coordinators/planners, linen rental company, rental company, etc).
No. We will have a clean-up crew onsite to dispose of trash at the end of the event.
However, we request that you talk with your caterer about bussing of tables. Guests do not clean up after themselves and nothing will ruin all of your hard work and beautiful décor than tables full of dirty plates (this includes disposable and real plates). Our preferred caterers provide this service.
Canyonwood Ridge is NOT responsible for coordination of the ceremony music.
If you are using recorded music for your ceremony, you should discuss that selection with your DJ as they should manage the ceremony music. If you are having a band, please discuss this with your day-of-coordinator or directly with the band.
Our Venue is equipped with outlets at the outdoor ceremony site to power DJ speakers, and the Chapel has speakers that are wired to a receiver where music can be played and managed by your DJ or day-of-coordinator.
Yes. The Venue has a 300 square foot bridesroom with private access to the womens restroom and views of the outdoor ceremony site. The Venue also has a separate groomsroom.

You must be accompanied by staff while touring the Venue. Also, you can reserve a date for your event, which we will hold up to 48 hours to allow you time to tour the Venue. You can do this by selecting your requested date in the calendar and completing the Rental Agreement and then contacting us to schedule a tour.
The cost of the Venue varies depending on the day of the week. If you are curious about a rate please check out Pricing page, or if you want to see if a specific date is available please check out our Calendar. Canyonwood Ridge does NOT offer seasonal rates primarily because our Chapel provides an indoor ceremony site.

Payment schedule is as follows:
A 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of the Base Rental amount is due upon execution of the license agreement.
The next 25% NON- REFUNDABLE deposit will be due 9 months prior to the Event Date, or at the date of booking if that date is less than 9 months from the Event Date.
The next 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due 3 months prior to the Event Date.
The final 25% NON-REFUNDABLE must be made 30 days prior to the Event Date (to be provided during your final walk through with your Venue Coordinator).
Every payment made to Canyonwood Ridge is NON-REFUNDABLE. You will be invoiced for each payment due, so don’t worry about trying to figure out when to pay. A charge of $50 will be assessed for any check returned for insufficient funds. Canyonwood Ridge reserves the right to charge late fees for payments not made on time. The Rental Agreement outlines this payment schedule. You can view the Rental Agreement by visiting our Calendar page, selecting a date, and the Rental Agreement will appear on the next screen.
Payments for the Venue are due in installments of 25% increments. Security Deposit will be due 30 days prior to your Event Date along with your last deposit. Payments for use of the bar are also due during your final walk-through.
Only exceptions are in the event of a death of the bride or groom, or military deployment, or if the Venue incurs damages that cannot be repaired in time for the event. Otherwise, there are NO refunds on deposits made to Canyonwood Ridge. Please check with your insurance carrier for specific details on Wedding Liability Insurance and/or Wedding and Event Cancellation Insurance.
With the weather in Central Texas, wedding planners will commonly say that you need to love your plan B! Canyonwood Ridge is the only Venue is central Texas with a pre-set Plan B with a Chapel that many brides are choosing as their Plan A!!! No need for worrying about having to turn a room or if weather doesn't cooperate that the backdrop of your ceremony isn't what you envisioned.
We have a 3,000 square foot indoor Chapel with capacity for 300 (including bridal party) that was built specifically to hold ceremonies indoors and protected from the weather elements. The Chapel enables a picturesque indoor ceremony site protected against the weather by "bringing the outside in" through large windows and lots of natural light, but also allows multi-use of that space when the ceremony is outdoors (e.g. cocktail hour, cigar bar, photo booth, poker tables, quiet space separated from the reception hall, etc).
One hour for rehearsal is included in the contract, and can be scheduled 45 days prior to your event date (pending availability and scheduled around other booked events). We cannot guarantee that the day before your wedding will not be booked until 45 days prior to your wedding. Wedding rehearsals prior to your wedding day are only allowed if the day before your wedding is NOT booked. We do not want to interrupt set-up of another wedding, just as you won’t want your wedding set-up interrupted. It is your Venue on your day.
If there is a wedding the day before your event, you can choose to hold your rehearsal either (1) the day of your wedding or (2) off-site the day before your wedding. No rehearsal dinners are allowed at Canyonwood Ridge.
Yes. You are more than welcome to take your engagement or bridal portraits here at Canyonwood Ridge, which we include 1-hour in the rental agreement free of charge. This must be done by appointment by contacting us at (512) 284-4194 or email: email@example.com.
PLEASE NOTE: The only days that portraits can be taken are Mondays-Thursdays and can only be taken while the Venue is not in use. Canyonwood Ridge reserves the right to reschedule the portraits to another unused date and time if we book an event the conflicts with your portrait session.
Yes. We are currently building out a comprehensive list of preferred vendors. These are vendors that we feel provide exceptional service, and in no event does Canyonwood Ridge receive any fees/rebates/kick-backs for referring them. Furthermore, in order to protect our brides from unsatisfactory service, all vendors must be approved by Canyonwood Ridge as some have been blacklisted from our Venue. Please refer to the Vendors page for a list of preferred vendors.
Yes. Vendors must be pre-approved by Canyonwood Ridge at least 45 days prior to the event date. We highly encourage our brides to use one of preferred caterers for several reasons that we will discuss with you doing your tour. The catering company you select MUST have their Department of Health Certificate and be insured. Any vendor doing decorating also must be insured. Refer to the Vendors page for a list of preferred vendors.
Canyonwood Ridge allows clients to provide their own "hard alcohol"; however, we do require that all alcohol is served by a 3rd party TABC certified bartender recommended by the venue (Bar Divas).
Canyonwood Ridge provides "Beer, Wine, and Champagne" as part of your Bar Package and pricing along with several other items that you will need for the bar. We will discuss options and pricing of your Bar Package and Alcohol Agreement during your tour of the Venue.
All rentals and vendor items must be loaded out at the conclusion of your event. If there is not an event scheduled the day after your event, you may have the option to have your rentals picked up at a different time but this must be approved in writing by Canyonwood Ridge. This will be documented during your final walk-through, approximately 45 days before your event.
Canyonwood Ridge has over 80 designated paved parking spaces, and plenty of room for overflow parking for larger events.
Canyonwood Ridge is a NON SMOKING Venue. We ask that all individuals smoke at least 50 feet away from the Venue. Please also respect the grounds and dispose of any and all cigarette buds.
No. Canyonwood Ridge is your Venue from 9am to Midnight. Canyonwood Ridge does reserve the right to perform tours of the venue up until 12:00pm on the event date and will not disrupt any setup of the event.
No. Because we are committed to only hosting one event per day we do not offer a discount for reception only events.
No, but it is highly recommended. Canyonwood Ridge strongly encourages its brides to hire a "day-of-coordinator", or have someone who is extremely organized and familiar with weddings to help with logistics on the day of your wedding. There are many small details that get overlooked and it makes the day very hectic trying to resolve issues that a professional can handle. Our staff provides day-of-coordinator services for a fee and they have vast planning experience to address a range of issues, and most importantly, are very familiar with the Venue in order to optimize your set-up and decorating design.
